緒言

　レーザースペックルパターン（以下スペックルと略す）を利用した眼屈折度測定法^1）は自覚式検眼法と検影法との中間の性質をもつもので自覚的な検影法といつてもよい。被検者に課せられる判断はスペックルの流れの方向，速度を指示するだけで比較的容易であり，幼児，老人等検者と被検者の意志伝達が困難な場合にも有効な眼屈折度測定法であるが，現在のところ測定例は多くない^2〜4）。

　今回著者らは，イメージローテーターを利用した乱視度の測定が可能なスペックル眼屈折度測定装置を試作し，E．　Ingelstam^4），D．　Malacara^5），の提案によるそれぞれわれわれが直接法，間接法と呼ぶ2種類の方法で測定を行ない，自覚式検眼法との対比によりその実用可能性を検討したので報告する。

We constructed a new laser speckle refracto-meter with built-in image rotator. Preliminary examinations were performed on 30 eyes by direct method (Erik Ingelstem) and by indirect method (Daniel Malacara). Obtained data were weighed against those by subjective refracto-metry. A close correlation was present for either method. As for Daniel Malacara's indirect method, the correlation index for spherical po-wer was 0.985. The indices for cylinder power and axis were 0.955 and 0.946 respectively for astigmatism of more than 0.5 diopters. The in-direct method was more practical than the in-direct one because of the easiness of subjective determination.
