緒言

　緑内障の診断，治療方針決定にあたつての隅角鏡検査の重要性についてはいまさら論ずるまでもないことであるが，隅角所見の解釈や判定結果の正確さに関して全く問題がないわけではない。

　現在わが国で最も頻繁に用いられている隅角鏡は，岩田^8）が指摘しているように，細隙灯顕微鏡とともに坐位で検査する間接型隅角鏡の代表であるGoldmann1,2,3面鏡型のGonioprismと考えられるが，その他入手可能なものとしてAllen—Thorpeと同型式の荻野式4面鏡WorstのLo-vac型各種隅角鏡Zeiss4面鏡などが挙げられる。第1表のごとく，これら各種の間接型隅角鏡は原理的に大差ないとしても，そのデザインの細目に関しては多少の差が認められ，これらを用いて得られる隅角所見の判定結果にも境界領域に属する症例では微妙な差が生ずる恐れがないとはいえない^{1）5）12）}。

The anterior chamber angle of the 25 glauco-matous eyes were examined utilizing keratome-tric gonioprisms devised by S. C. Becker, a single-mirror gonioprism and a three-mirror gonioprism by Goldmann and comparatively studied.

It was confirmed that with the use of kera-tometric gonioscopy better visualization of the narrow angle as compared with the other gonio-prisms could be achieved under a standardized condition.

In spite of some disadvantages of this me-thod, for example complexity of the procedure, it can be a valuable criteria for determining exact indication of glaucoma surgery in some very critical cases.
