白内障術後嚢胞状黄斑部浮腫の実態第2報

Cystoid macular edema after cataract extraction. Part 2.

緒　言

　わが国における白内障術後の嚢胞状黄斑部浮腫（以下CMEと略記）の実態を知る目的で，われわれは前報において本症が好発するといわれている白内障術後4ないし6週の時点を選び，眼科的各種所見を老人性白内障122眼について検討し，螢光眼底所見に基づく黄斑部浮腫に関しては事実高率に発生していることを認めた。しかし真の問題はこのうち不可逆的な視力障害を残す症例がどの程度存在するかという点にあり，その後同一症例群について経過観察を続けた。

　今回は術後1年経過した時点におけるこれら症例の螢光眼底所見，機能的予後についての結果と併せて片眼嚢内摘出術，片眼嚢外摘出術を行なつた症例におけるCME発生率について更に検討を加えた結果を報告する。

In our previous report ( Jpn. J. Clin. Ophthalmol., 32 : 209, 1978), we detected typical cystoid macu-lar edema in 13 eyes (10.7%) and hyperperme-able perifoveal capillaries in 105 eyes (86.1%) in 122 eyes in 75 patients when observed during the 4th to 6th week following uneventful cata-ract extraction. These cases were followed up without specific treatments and 114 eyes of 70 patients were evaluated anew 12 months after surgery.

All the 13 eyes which showed typical cystoid macular edema initially had underwent completeregression of the edema.
