緒言

　微小角の偏位をもつ斜視は，その偏位の小さいことの他に，多くの特徴をもつことが知られている。この種の斜視に対する名称は十指以上を数えており，このこと自体が，本症の多様性を物語つている。斜視，弱視の領域の代表的な教科書においても，その取扱いがまちまちであり，一層の混乱を惹起している感がある。私共は微小角偏位をもつ斜視の症例を検討する機会を得たので，その各種検査成績を述べ，更に，文献的な考察を加えて，本症の由来，成因，臨床的意義を明らかにせんとした。

1. 28 selected cases of small angle deviation (less than 10 prism diopters) were examined by means of the following methods : cover test, bifoveal correspondence test, after-image transfer test, modified method of after-image transfer test, and various other orthoptical examinations. The authors drew the following conclusions.

1) In all 28 cases there was unilateral, no gross amblyopia with parafoveal fixation. The details of fixation patterns were as follows ; paradoxic fixation (7 cases), temporal fixation ( 6 cases ), and inferior fixation (1 case).
