緒言

　全身麻酔法による眼科手術例は6,7年前に比べ増加しつつある。またこの数年来各種の新しい麻酔剤および麻酔補助剤が導入されている。そこでわれわれは昭和40年度〜44年度までの東北大学の眼科領域における全身麻酔施行例の統計的観察を試みた。調査対象は麻酔記録および眼科入院カルテに明確に記載されたものとした。

調査内容は

Statistical analysis of anesthesia was perfor-med in 611 patients who underwent ophthalmic surgery at Tohoku University Hospital from 1965 to 1969. Our results were as follows ;

The operations under general anesthesia were 100-170 every year, which was 12-19% of the total eye operations. Most of the patients were under 7 years of age. The patients consisted 201 cases of strabismus, the largest in number in the series, 96 cases of disorders of intraocu-lar pressure, 92 cases of palpebral diseases, 88 cases of lenticular disorders, 44 cases of retinal diseases.
