I．緒言
近年腎機能不全に対して人工透析が行なわれ，有力な治療法となつている。われわれの大学でも昭和42年以来腹膜灌流をはじめ，さらに43年7月より人工腎臓が設備され着々と成果をあげている。腎機能不全による眼底所見が人工透析によつていかに変化するかは治療効果の判定上，また治療方針の決定上参考になると考え観察してきた。本邦にはこの種の文献がないので，まだ少数例であるが報告し，ご批判を仰ぎたいと思う。
Ophthalmoscopical follow-up was conducted in 20 patients with renal failure due to chronic nephritis during and after repeated treatments with hemodialysis. Out of the 20 patients, six were treated by artificial kidney (Kiil type), eleven by peritoneal hemodialysis and the other three by both procedures. The period of obser-vation averaged 7 months.
In patients in whom the general condition improved during the therapy, favourable altera-tion in fundus findings usually set in within 3 to 4 months.
