米糠油中毒眼症の1例

Ocular Manifestations of Contaminated RiceBran Oil

I．はじめに

　米糠油中毒症は昭和43年10月上旬頃より九州北部を中心として，中国，四国，近畿など西日本一帯に拡大蔓延せる，ある特定の米糠油の食用によつて起きた，主として顔面その他に発現する皮膚疾患であるが，まだこの米糠油中毒症における眼障害についての詳細な報告に接しない。著者は最近その1症例を経験したのでここに報告したいと思う。

Our present report concerns a case of 13-year-old boy who showed signs of poisoning from eating a food containing a certain ricebran oil. He began with allergic dermatoconjunctivitis of both eyes which was followed by conjunctival pigmentation along the lower limbus but without any skin syndrome of face or other parts of the body.

In the present case, the cytology of conjunc-tival smear has shown the following clinical pictures, namely, marked increase in epithelial cell, eosinophilic leucocytes, of mononuclear cell, polymorphonuclear cell, polymorphonuclear, of micrganismus. Gram positive diplococcus was also found.
