I．まえおき

　その眼が，同じく濾過手術の適応であつても，術後の前房再生状態が異なることを，われわれは緑内障眼で経験する。その原因は，単一なものではなかろう。術式の相違であるかもしれないし，緑内障の種類あるいは，その進行程度によるのかもしれない。

　しかし，同じ単性緑内障の同じ程度に進行した症例に，同じ術式の濾過手術を施行しても，前房再生状態がいちじるしく異なることがある。

A retrospective clinical survey was conducted over the possible correlationship between the width of the chamber angle and the restoration of anterior chamber following filtering operati-ons. 79 operated eyes in 47 cases served as object for the present analysis.

Filtering operations were performed in forty-one eyes, of which 39 eyes had simple and 2eyes secondary glaucoma. Peripheral iridectomy or lens extraction was performed in 20 eyes, of which 16 eyes had closed angle and 4 eyes had open-angle glaucoma.
