I．緒言

　私共は最近グルタチオン（GSH）を角膜疾患および白内障患者に適用し，ある程度の効果を得た事を報告した。この際白内障患者の経過観察中に散瞳検査を行つた場合，GSH点眼や注射を行つていた患者の中で瞳孔の散大の速度が促進されている者があるのに気付いた。そこでGSHが瞳孔散大の何等かの促進作用に関係があるのではないかと考え，次の実験を行い二三の見るべき結果を得たので報告する。

Repeated instillation of 2% glutathione solu-tion prior to local application of Mydrin (My-driaticum "Roche") facilitated more prompt and more complete mydriasis than when un-treated. Studies in 108 subjects, in whom one eye was thus treated and the other served as control, 51 eyes became more mydriatic than the control eye, 40 eyes reacted in the same way as the control ones and 17 eyes were less mydriatic. Control studies showed that both eyes do not always react in similar fashion after instillation of Mydrin due aberrations in the condition of experiments, which account for the negative results in the last group.
