I．緒言

　角膜移植は1789年Pelliere de Quengsy^20）が人工角膜移植を行つたのが始まりで，1928年Fil—atov^20）により屍体より採取した角膜による移植が成功して以来飛躍的に発展した。

　我国に於ては1905年水尾氏^1）の報告以来，三宅^2）市川^3），畑^6）氏等の報告があり，1950年中村康氏^12）の報告以来急速の進歩をとげ，最近では桑原教授^19）20）等により角膜保存法に関するすぐれた研究が行なわれ，尚一層発展の途上にある。

On white domestic rabbits, the tissue res-piration of the transplanted autograft fixed by the Cap method and the direct suture me-thod in penetrating keratoplasty were measu-red by Warburg manometer and the experi-mental results were as follows.

1) When the graft was fixed by Cap method, Qo₂ of the graft decreased by 13.07% on the 1st day compared with the contrast eye, gra-dually getting back to reach the initial level on the 5th day.
