Ⅰ．緒言

　1931年Klinger^1）は，"Grenzformen derPeriarteriitis nodosa"として，重篤な副鼻腔炎，腎炎，尿毒症を伴い，剖検によつて，脾臓の肉芽腫，動脈炎，糸球体腎炎を証明した2例を報告した。

　1936年Wegener^2）は，"Uber generalisierteseptische Gefasserkrankungen"として3例の剖検例を報告，次いで1939年^3），更にこの3例について精しく検討し，次の4項目の特徴を明らかにし，1つの独立した症候群であることを示した。そして彼は，これを"rhinogene Granulo—matosis"と呼んだ。

1) The clinical course of a patient with marginal corneal ulcer and systemic manife-stations of Wegener's granulomatosis, inclu-ding nasoantral symptoms and chronic glo-merulonephritis, is reported.

2) IIistopathological examinations of the left eye revealed perilimbal ulcer, intense uveal injection and hemorrhage, acute scleri-tis, retinal degeneration and granulo-fibrinis-ation of the optic nerve. Biopsy of the orbital tissue histologically proved the presence of chronic granulomatous inflammation with widespread angiolitis and few foci of giant cell granuloma.
