要約　目的：裂孔原性網膜剝離に対する強膜内陥術の成績の報告。症例：2001年1月～2005年12月の5年間に強膜内陥術を行った裂孔原性網膜剝離171例174眼を検索した。男性103眼，女性71眼であり，年齢は13～96歳（平均52歳）であった。全例に強膜半層切開，ジアテルミー凝固，シリコーンタイヤによる強膜内陥術を行った。162眼に強膜下液の排液，146眼に輪状締結術，62眼に硝子体腔内に空気を注入した。結果：網膜復位は初回手術で152眼（88％），最終的に167眼（96％）で得られた。結論：裂孔原性網膜剝離に対する強膜内陥術により，良好な初回と最終復位率が得られた。強膜への侵襲が大きく再手術の難しいことが強膜内陥術の短所である。術後の視機能や合併症などを考慮し，他の手術手技も検討される必要があると思われる。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report the outcome of scleral buckling for rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. Cases：This retrospective study was made on 174 eyes of 171 patients who received scleral buckling for rhegmatogenous retinal detachment during 5 years through 2005. The series comprised 103 males and 71 females. Their age ranged from 13 to 96 years, average 52 years. All the cases received lamellar scleral excision, diathermy, and scleral buckling using a silicone tire. Subretinal fluid was drained in 162 eyes. Scleral encircling was performed in 146 eyes. Intravitreal air injection was performed din 62 eyes. Results：The retina became reattached in 152 eyes（88％）after the first surgery and in 167 eyes（96％）after repeated surgeries. Conclusion：Scleral buckling induces a high rate of retinal reattachment. Other surgical methods would merit due consideration regarding complications and final visual function.
