要約　69歳女性の両眼で，膨化白内障化した水晶体が硝子体腔に完全脱臼した。これの摘出を全身麻酔下で右眼に対して行った。まず硝子体切除を行い，低分子量分散型粘弾性物質（VISCOAT^(R)）を水晶体後方に注入して浮上させ，輪匙で強角膜切開創から摘出した。注入した粘弾性物質を吸引除去し，眼内レンズを挿入，縫着して手術を終わった。術中または術後に合併症はなかった。脱臼水晶体の摘出に本法は有用かつ安全であった。

Abstract.　A 69-year-old female presented with luxation of swollen and cataractous lens in both eyes. The luxated lens in the right eye was removed under general anesthesia. Following vitrectomy,VISCOAT^(R),a dispersive viscoelastic material,was injected into the posterior vitreous cavity. This procedure induced floatation of the luxated lens which was then removed through a corneoscleral wound. An intraocular lens was inserted after removal of viscoelastic material from the vitreous cavity. There were no complications during or after surgery. The present method promises to be of value in the surgical treatment of lens luxation.
