要約　目的：病院に導入した完全電子カルテと眼科機器統合システムの報告。方法：病床700床の癌専門病院に，新築移転を機に電子カルテシステムを導入した。眼科には眼科機器統合システムが導入された。結果：電子カルテシステムの導入により，病院各部門の収支状況と各科の稼働状況が瞬時に把握できるようになった。診療面では他科と合同で行うカンファレンスで威力を発揮した。眼科では画像の整理と検索が容易になった。その一方，本システムの導入と運用の経費が増大し，医師の診察以外の仕事量が増加して診療面では医師にかかる負担が大きくなった。結論：電子カルテシステムでは，眼科独自の部門システムを導入する必要があるが，そのためには事前の綿密な準備，特に予算確保が大切である。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report merits and demerits of a new electronic recording system in a hospital. Method：An electronic recording system was installed in a hospital which specializes in cancer-related diseases. An integrated subsystem was designed for the department of ophthalmology. Results：Installation of the new system facilitated real-time financial status of the hospital and activity of each department. This system was useful in the multidisciplinary planning of treatment of patients with subsystem for ophthalmologist. The system,on the other hand,resulted in greater financial burden to the hospital. It demands more work for data input by the doctors,especially for ophthalmologists. Conclusion：A subsystem is necessary to be used by ophthalmological department when installing an electronic recording system in a hospital.
