Methylviolettの腦内注入—白鼠腦の形態學的所見に就て—腦水腫及人工的膠質腫の研究補遺

On morphological Findings of the Rat's Brain after Intracerebral In jection of Methyl-violett.:A. Contribution to the Study of Hydrocephalus and Artificial Glioma

緒言

　MethylviolettはWeigertがグリア纎維の特殊染色法に使用した色素であるが，癌原性の有無を檢定する爲に用いられた報告をきかない。著者は之をラツテの腦内に注入し，グリアの反應を期待したところ，著しい腦水腫と共に，腦内各所に於て人體グリオームに類似する腫瘍芽の形成を認めた。

　Methylvielet was introduced by Weigert as an effective dye for the neuroglia staining, although its carcinogeni nature was unknown. By application of this dye, the author tried to cause glial reaction in the animal brain. Experiment: A small amount of Methyiviolet B (Gilübier), mixed with lard oil (I) or harde: ed with a wheat gluten (II) (Japanese sugar cake "ame") was injected into the fore-brain of the young albino rat: After 207-455 days bservation, the animal was killed and its brain was examined Listologically.

　Results: Besides internal hydrocephalus, tumor germs analogous to the human glioma were observed in various of the brain. There was neither obstruction of Sylvian duct nor malignant proliferation of glia actually.

　Hydrocephalus of lard series (I) was much intense than that of wheat gluten ,series (II). The author supposed the cluse of hydrocephaleus a temporary occhision of aqueduct by hemorrhage (haeincsiderosis) in the series (I), i.e. a traumatic haemorrhage by Flrap needles for injection of the fluid substance, and referred to subs!ded ependyntitis granularis.

　Toxic and hypersecretive hydrocephalus were discussed as well was a diffusion mechanism of glial tissue generally.

　Concerning the morphologic features of the tumorlike formation, the author intends to recall the reader to the Oyama's work previously published (butter-yellow injection). On malignant proliferation of the near-standing tumor germs of different order, a possibility of complcated mixture of them would be suggested.
