　心臓弁膜症の外科的治療の発展に伴ない，リウマチ性心疾患のほかに粘膜変性を主病変とするfloppy valve　syndromeの存在が注目されている。我々は粘液変性による健索断裂を伴なった僧帽弁閉鎖不全症の外科的治療を経験したので若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

A 46-year-old male with mitral regurgitation due to ruptured chordae tendinae was undergone mitral valve replacement with Björk-Shiley valve and the good result was obtained.

The patient suddenly suffered from generalized edema five years ago. He was pointed out acute cardiac failure due to mitral regurgitation and was treated medically. Six months ago he suflered from common cold and cardiac failure was developed again. He recieved the diagnosis as a rupture of the chordae of the posterior mitral cusp and was transfered to our clinic.
