Abstract 文献概要

　慢性肺気腫の肺機能障害についてはすでに多くの研究があり^{2）7）8）18）21）27）28）}，肺気腫にみられる肺内ガス分布の異常についてもBaldwin等^2），Bates及びChristie^3），　Briscoe等^6），あるいはDarling等^12）によつて報告されている。Fowler及びComroe^11），　Fowler等^15）16），Robertson等^20），Bates等^4），Blair及びHickam^5）17）は呼気中の窒素あるいはヘリウム濃度の変動を連続的に測定して求めた所謂クリアランス曲線を解析して肺内ガス分布の障害を検討した。著者は慢性肺気腫の肺機能障害，特に肺内ガス分布障害を肺内ガス分布曲線を中心に検討して，新たな知見を得ることが出来た。

1) Lung volumes, ventilation and intrapulmonary gas distribution in 141 cases of chronic pulmonary emphysema (including senile emphysema) is discussed with special reference to the iptrapulmonary gas distribution curve.

2) Characteristic INTRAPULMONARY GAS DISTRIBUTION CURVE in chronic pulmonary emphysema shows a) diminished distribution indicis observed and calculated, b) remarkable transient stage and c) elevated terminal nitrogen concentration, emptying rate and ΔN₂.
