要旨●肛門は消化管の最終部であり，消化管診療にかかわる医師は外科，内科にかかわらず，最低限の知識を持っておく必要がある．肛門診療にかかわることが少ない消化器内科医が，日常診療で知っておくべき直腸肛門部の解剖，直腸肛門の診察法，代表的な肛門疾患と簡単な治療法をまとめた．

　Anorectum is the end of the gastrointestinal tract. Physicians, especially gastroenterologists and digestive surgeons, need to have basic knowledge of the anorectum. In this article, we describe the anorectal anatomy and basic examinations for gastroenterologists who do not treat anorectal diseases. Furthermore, we describe the typical anorectal diseases and their initial treatments.
