はじめに

　結節性筋膜炎（nodular fasciitis）は，線維性組織や血管の反応性増殖性病変を主体とする比較的まれな腫瘤である 1）2）。筋膜や筋肉および皮下組織などに生じ，急速に増大することも多い。このため悪性腫瘍との鑑別が問題となる。今回われわれは，頬部皮下に生じた結節性筋膜炎の1例を経験した。頬部皮下腫瘍を診察する機会の多い形成外科医にとって，念頭に置いておくべき疾患の1つと考えられたので報告する。

　Nodular fasciitis （NF） is a relatively rare benign reactive proliferative lesion that arises mainly from the fascia. It often increases rapidly, like malignant tumors do. NF must therefore be distinguished from malignant tumors. We report the details of a case of nodular fasciitis that occurred in the buccal region of a -year-old. Since plastic surgeons often encounter a variety of subcutaneous tumors, they should be aware of nodular fasciitis.
