A tumor of the cheek is a relatively common disease encountered in daily clinical practice. In surgeries for buccal tumors, it is essential to identify the location of the tumor and its anatomical relationship to the facial nerve and Stensen’s duct. The presence of an accessory parotid gland should also be considered in subcutaneous tumors arising in the central cheek region. The surgical approaches to the cheek region include a direct incision over the mass, a facelift-based incision, and an S-shaped incision, the uses of which vary from one institution to another.

In this report, we present two cases of subcutaneous tumors in the cheek region and describe the selection of the surgical approach to cheek tumors based on the localization of the tumor, as well as the precautions that should be taken.
