神経根発生の滑膜肉腫の1例

A case of synovial sarcoma of the spinal nerve root

滑膜肉腫は比較的頻度の低い悪性軟部腫瘍であり，好発部位は四肢（80～95％）で様々な発生母地が報告されているが，脊髄神経根領域の滑膜肉腫の報告はまれである^1-3）。今回我々は神経根発生と思われる滑膜肉腫の1例を経験したため，文献的考察とともに報告する。

A 15-year-old girl presented with left back pain for 1 year and left leg pain and numbness for 1 month. Lumbar CT and MRI revealed a dumbbell-shaped mass enlarging the left L5-S1 intervertebral foramen. The mass showed an intratumoral calcification and homogenous enhancement. After gross total resection, the histopathological diagnosis was a synovial sarcoma. Intratumoral calcification may be the key to distinguishing synovial sarcoma from other tumors.
