当院は2005年7月にPET/CT装置・MR装置を導入し,がんドック先端医療健診センターを開設した。さらに2009年10月には国内初号機としてNovalis Txを稼働させ,高精度がん放射線治療センターを併設,がん専門放射線科クリニックとして迅速な画像診断と高精度放射線治療を提供してきた。高精度がん放射線治療センターは,従来の放射線治療では根治が難しいとされてきた難治腫瘍に対する治療,あるいは再照射に取り組み,地域におけるがん診療の隙間を埋める役割を果たしている1)2)。
Since 2005 the Hiroshima Heiwa Clinic was established with revolutionary devices, currently we are using digital PET/CT scanners, 3T MRI system, and high precision radiotherapy machine and so on. We have contributed to the community cancer care by providing not only prompt diagnoses but also precise radiotherapy for refractory or recurred cancer by using these specialized devices. Therefore, it is very important to define GTV and OAR based on these accurate diagnostic modalities. In particular, 18F FDG-PET/CT has been used for the staging diagnoses and treatment evaluations. This precise radiotherapy planning based FDG-PET images enables the treatment plan which focused on shrinking GTV and protecting OAR. We expound the FDG-PET images to precise radiotherapy treatment planning that contain an important introduction and some points.
