This study addressed whether long-term clinical training improved Occupational Therapy Students' (OTS) ability to judge the results from the Unstructured Assessment (UA). The following two results were observed: 1) OTS could judge the UA materials to be highly dependable even though they hadn't undergone long-term clinical training when they were given high dependability UA results and 2) OTS couldn't judge the UA materials appropriately even after they had undergone long-term clinical training when they were given UA results which were both low in dependability and were difficult to understand. This study concludes: 1) long-term clinical training is not always effective to improve abilities of the OTS to judge the results from the UA and 2) there is a necessity to develop educational programs which improve the ability of the OTS to judge results from UA.
