  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

We have reported on the effectiveness of SEPS (subfascial endoscopic perforating veins surgery) operation for chronic venous insufficiency of the lower legs. At first, it was thought that IPV (insufficient perforating vein) consisted of a single vein, but it actually consisted of two or more blood vessels. Then, we examined the anatomy and the feature of IPVs. The number of IPVs according to the Clinical stage of CEAP classification was as fol-lows: C2: 2.12±1.09/per limb, C4: 3.48±1.82/per limb and C5 and C6: 4.09±1.89/per limb (average±SD).
