  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Mesenteric cyst is a relatively rare disorder which occurs at the rate of one case in about 20 thousand to two hundred thousand admission patients. It is difficult to diagnose preoperatively, because of the lack of definitive methods to diagnose it. Moreover, adult mesenteric chylous cyst is quite uncommon in Japan, and only 11 cases have been reported in the past. A 67-year-old man with hyper-creatin kinasemia was diagnosed with an ab-dominal cyst by chance. A small egg sized cyst was detected in his abdominal cavity by abdominal ultrasonography and computed tomography.
