Training System of Endoscopic Surgery in USA

　アメリカにおける内視鏡下手術のトレーニングシステムについて述べた．医学生の頃からトレーニングが開始され，レジデントになると医学生に対する教育の義務があり，さらにチーフレジデントになるとレジデントに対して教育の義務がある．全米の数か所に内視鏡下手術の専門施設があり，研修終了後にはフェローとして専門的な勉強を続けられる制度もある．アメリカ消化器内視鏡外科学会（SAGES）では，ガイドラインを作成して学生，研修医に対する教育やadvanced laparoscopic surgeryを施行するための適切なシステムづくりを推進している．多くのトレーニングコースはそのガイドラインに沿ったプログラムで行われ，成果をあげている．

We report about the training systems for the endoscopic surgery in USA. Medical students are supposed to start the training for endoscopic surgery and they have the duty of educationing the surgical residents when they become the chief residents. There are several special institutions for the endoscopic surgery in USA. There are also such training systems that they can continue training in their specialty as a fellow after finishing their resident program.
