  • Look Inside

With the advances in miniature laparoscopes and instruments, laparoscopic cholecystectomy has now entered the era of 'needlescopic cholecystectomy'. Though the benefits of needlescopic cholecystectomy are considered to be less pain and a better cosmetic result. the umbilical wound has to be enlarged to remove the gallbladder. This report describes our technique for transvaginal removal of the gallbladder by needlescopic cholecystectomy. With our method, after the gallbladder was freed from the liver bed, a 12-mm trocar was in-serted throught the posterior fornix of the vagina.
