Endoscopic surgery is still uncommon in breast and thyroid surgery although it has been applied to a various kind of open surgery since its minimal invasiveness and cosmesis. There are a couple of reasons : The manipulation is of some difficulties and advantage of minimal invasiveness is not clarified. Addisional dissection in the subplatysmal space making a working space is required. However, majority of patients with the disease is feamale who much concerns cosmesis in the breast and neck. Therefore endoscopic surgery without large skin incision in the neck or breast has been fully satisfied.
