  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Adrenalectomy is the most common procedure in urological laparoscopic surgery because the procedure is a simple organ resection with relatively small tumor. The hazard of the procedure is the location of the gland in the deep retroperitoneal space and the rich vasuculization around the gland. Because of the recent applicaton of a newly developed instrument for tissue coagulation and division, an ultrasonically activated scalpel, which brought a remarkable progress in vessel processing ability, has made the division of vessels surrounding the gland much easier than by using only electrocoagulation and clips.
