アレルギー性鼻炎に対するハーモニックスカルペルを用いた下甲介粘膜の処置

Treatment for Allergic Rhinitis by Using Harmonic Scalpel

　アレルギー性鼻炎に対する外科的療法としては下甲介粘膜に対する切除術，電気凝固術，化学焼灼術，凍結手術，レーザー手術などが行われてきた．しかし，従来の方法で一定の効果は得られたもののそれぞれの術式には問題点があり，各施設ごとに異なる方法が取られ，いまだ手術方法が統一されていないのが現状である，今回われわれは，通年性のアレルギー性鼻炎症例に対し，下甲介粘膜の表層をハーモニック　スカルペルを用いて治療を行ったので，従来行われてきた方法と比較してその有効性を検討した．

As surgical procedures for treating allergic rhinitis, we normally perform Conchotomy for mucosa of inferior concha, High frequency submucosal diathermy, Chemosurgery, or Laser surgery. We can have favorable effects from these procedures, however, each procedure still have some disadvantages. Therefore, there is still lack of uniformity for surgical procedure of allergic rhinitis. On the other hand, Harmonic scalpel has been developed as surgical device by utilizing ultrasonic energy to cut and coagulate tissues : it has been taken notice of superior security and manipulation.
