【コラム】大学院体験談：国内編—データサイエンスから臨床研究へのアプローチ

Domestic graduate school experience

筆者は，横浜市立大学データサイエンス研究科ヘルスデータサイエンス専攻の学生である。現在，2年課程のうち1年を終えた。臨床研究，データサイエンスに関する授業を受けながら，各学生は研究テーマをもち，専属の指導教員からの指導を受けつつ研究を進めていく。卒業が認定されれば，ヘルスデータサイエンス修士Master of Health Data Scienceが授与される。働きながら通学するのであれば常に時間捻出との闘いになるが，臨床現場に立ち続けることのメリットもある。2年間でデータサイエンスの素養を身につけることはでき，卒業後，自身でどのように学んでいくべきかのヒントを得られることが何より大きな財産である。

The author is a student in the Department of Health Data Science, Graduate School of Data Science, Yokohama City University. In this graduate program, students take classes related to clinical research and data science, while each student has a research theme and receives guidance from a dedicated faculty advisor. Upon graduation, students are awarded a Master of Health Data Science degree. It will be a constant struggle to find the necessary time if you are attending school while working, but there are also advantages to being in clinical medicine, and each student should consider this carefully. The most important benefit of the program is that it provides students with hints for conducting studies on their own after graduation.
