【コラム】大学院体験談：海外編—社会人学生としての公衆衛生大学院留学

Attending Graduate School in Public Health internationally

新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）パンデミックにより，公衆衛生学の重要性が改めて注目された。コロナ禍での授業の急速なオンライン化に伴い，海外の公衆衛生大学院は遠隔からの参加が可能となり，むしろ留学は実現しやすくなったと考える。ハーバード大学公衆衛生大学院疫学修士課程での経験談を，受験準備，授業内容，現地参加とオンライン参加の比較，社会人学生のオプション，米国以外の選択肢（英語圏）の項に分けて記した。多様なかたちでの大学院生活への参加に対して，具体的なイメージをもっていただけたら幸いである。

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is an increased awareness of the importance of public health. The pandemic has accelerated creation of the infrastructure needed for internationally available online classes. Written through the author's experience of attending the Master of Science Epidemiology course at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, topics covered in this paper include：preparation for entrance exams, courses, comparison of in-person and remote attendance, part-time student options, and schools outside the United States.
