更年期における乳腺の画像検査

Breast cancer imaging of climacteric stage women

更年期は日本の乳癌発症年齢のピークに相当し，乳癌検診の重要なターゲットとなっている．更年期，特に乳腺の濃度が高い40歳代に関しては，デジタルマンモグラフィや超音波検査を用いた乳癌検診が期待されている．更年期障害と乳癌発症に関しては明らかな関連はないが，ホルモン補充療法と乳癌に関してはいくつかの報告がなされている．更年期女性の典型的な乳腺画像を理解したうえで，不必要な精密検査を行うことなく，精度の高い検診を行っていくことが必要である．

The climacteric stage is the transition from the reproductive to the non-reproductive period during the life of women.　In Japan, breast cancer incidence rates are high in women aged 45-50 including the climacteric stage.　Digital mammography and ultrasound examination would be useful for women in the climacteric stage.　The climacteric disorders are not correlated with breast cancer.　For further improvement of breast cancer screening, there is need to understand the typical clinical image of women in the climacteric stage.
