  • Look Inside

Hemangioma of the head and neck with phlebolithiasis is not common, especially in the neck region. A 29-year-old female had been suffered from Sennetsu Rickettsiosis at the age of ten, and approximately six months later, a hard mass of soybean size had been noticed in the right side of the neck. At the age 28, she noticed a gradual enlargement of the mass with discomfort in the upper extremity. The diagnosis of hemangioma with phlebolithiasis was established after x-ray examination. She underwent the removal of the mass and phleboliths with successful results. The histopathological diagnosis was racemose hemangioma with two phleboliths. Sennetsu Rickettsiosis is supposedly an inducing factor of hemangioma with phlebolith in this case.
