眼症状を呈した篩骨洞木片異物の1症例

A Wood Foreign Body in the Ethmoid Sinus with Ophthalmic Symptoms

I．緒言

　鼻科領域の異物はそれほど稀なものではないが，最近著者らは種々の眼症状を呈し前鼻孔より侵入したと考えられた篩骨洞内木片異物の1症例を経験したので報告する。

　A 72-year-old male complained of disturbance of ocular movement and vision. Nineteen days ago, the patient received an injury on the left side of nose by a piece of wood. Blowout fracture was suspected and exploratory sinusotomy was performed. Two pieces of wood were found in the ethmoid sinus with fracture of the left orbital floor. After removal of the foreign body, eye ball movement was improved except abduction, but visual disturbance was not improved.
