篩骨洞癌の1症例における眼症状

Ocular Signs in a Case of Ethmoid Carcinoma

I．緒言

　初発症状として左眼の視力障害を訴えて来科，左球後視神経炎と診断されて加療されたが主訴は急速に進行して失明，更に左眼の眼球突出，眼球運動障害，眼瞼下垂に加え右眼の視力障害が現われ，遂に死の転帰をとつた，篩骨洞原発と思われる腺様嚢胞癌の1症例を剖検する機会を得たので報告する。

A 57-year-old male noticed failing vision ac-companied by central scotoma and later, by exophthalmos and bleph aroptosis in his lefteye. Until his left eye finally became blind, no significant nasal disorders had been detected through rhinological examinations. Three months later, the vision of the right eye began to fail.

Frontethmoidectomy conducted four months after development of initial symptoms revea-led the widespread presence of carcinoma of adenoid cystic type, to be followed by the death of the patient one month later.
