顎顔面領域の軟骨肉腫の2症例

Two Cases of Chondrosarcoma in the Maxillofacial Region

I．はじめに

　頭頸部領域に原発する悪性腫瘍の中で軟骨肉腫の頻度は稀であり，その報告例は内外を通じてきわめて数少ない。最近，われわれは鼻中隔および下顎枝より発生したと思われる軟骨肉腫各1症例を相ついで経験したので，その臨床経過の概要を述べるとともに若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　Two rare cases of chondrosarcoma in the maxillofacial region were reported.

　The first case, a 60-year-old male with chief complaint of the right nasal obstruction developed a chondrosarcoma primarily arised from the nasal septum. The lesion was removed completely by transmaxillary approach.

　The second patient was a 66-year-old male who complained of a painless swelling in the left parotid region. The mass lesion arised from the left mandibular joint was removed en bloc after hemimandibulectomy.

　The tumor recurrences in both cases have been found twice after the operation, but those lesions were successfully extirpated. Pathology, clinical course and treatment of this malignancy were discussed.
