悪性腫瘍が疑われた副鼻腔の炎症性偽腫瘍の1例

A Case of Inflammatory Pseudotumor of the Paranasal Sinus

　はじめに

　炎症性偽腫瘍（Inflammatory Pseudotumor）とは，真性腫瘍と類似の腫瘍性病変をきたす疾患のうち，結核，梅毒などの特異性炎症が全身疾患の局所症状として発症した場合を除外した臨床的診断名である。頭頸部領域の発生は比較的まれで，副鼻腔に生じた報告^1,2）があり，その臨床症状などは悪性腫瘍と類似することが多いといわれている。今回われわれは，上顎洞，蝶形洞に発生し，その臨床症状や画像診断から，悪性腫瘍が疑われた炎症性偽腫瘍の1例を経験したので報告する。

A 65-year-old man was complaining of severe headache for a month.

Histopathological examination of maxillary tumor showed inflammatory pseudotumor. CT dis-closed that the tumor invaded to the skull base. Operative treatment was not performed, but the tumor was reduced by antibiotics with steroids.
