学童検診よりみた小児副鼻腔炎の変遷

CHANGS OF PATHOLOGY OF CHRONIC SINUSITIS IN SCHOOL CHILDREN

　I．緒言

　本邦における鼻副鼻腔炎患者の頻度は最近減少しつつあり，逆に鼻アレルギーが増加している。私共の教室では，昭和28〜40年にかけて12年間東京都内と山形県の小・中学校で隔年に検診を行い，さらに昭和47〜51年まで大気汚染地域と非大気汚染地域とで学童検診を行ってきた。それらの結果より，年代別，地域別に学童の鼻疾患の変遷をうかがい知ることができた。

　このたび私共は以前検診を行った山形県の小・中学校を訪れ，検診を行う機会を得たので，以前の検査結果と比較すると共に，若干の検討を加えて報告する。

School children in urban and rural areas were rhinologically examined. About 40% of children in rural area were found to have sinusitis in the period between 1953 and 1957 but only in 9. 5% in 1979. About 30% of children in urban area were found to be suffering from allergic rhinitis and 13. 7% in rural areas in 1979. The number of children with sinusitis are on the decrease probably due to the improvement of nutrition, sanitation and living conditions. we are surmise that allergic rhinitis may be influenced by pollution.
