耳管，中耳腔異物の1例

FOREIGN BODIES IN THE AUDITORY TUBE AND TYMPANIC CAVITY

　I．はじめに

　耳管，中耳の疾患は多種にわたり日常頻繁にみられるが，この部の異物は比較的稀なものである。最近私たちは口腔から口蓋に刺入されたものが耳管，鼓室腔に到達したきわめて稀な異物症例を経験したので，報告し，あわせて若干の考察を行なった。

　幼児であり，患者の協力が得難く，希望する検査の困難なこともあつて，あらかじめ異物介入の予想もしなかつたため病気の本態を診断する点で反省させられる症例であるが，諸先生のご参考になれば幸いである。

A rare case of foreign bodies in the auditory tube and tympanic cavity is reported.

Wooden chips of a pencil were found in the tympanic cavity and auditory tube which caused an aural polyp in the external auditory canal that was considered as a foreign body granuloma. The foreign bodies had apparently passed through the soft palate and nasopharynx and reached the tympanic cavity via the auditory tube.

The importance of taking a judicious history with a careful preoperative examinations are stressed, even in a case of an infant.
