耳管および中耳カタルに対する耳管内分泌吸引療法について

TREATMENT OF EUSTACHIAN CATARRH AND CATARRHAL OTITIS MEDIA BY SUCTION DRAINAGE

　Ⅰ．はじめに

　いわゆる耳管および中耳カタルの治療の一助として，経鼻腔的に耳管内分泌を吸引除去することによつてかなりの効果を認めたので，その要点を報告し，諸賢のご批判を得たい。

　For treatment of Eustachian catarrh and catarrhal otitis media, the author assumed suction drainage of secretion of the Eustachian tube would be more rational than Eustachian catheterization in which there might be a possibility of aggravation of the diseases by transmitting Eustachian secretion into the middle ear cavity.

　Two methods of suction drainage, one with Mikulicz's irrigation tube and the other with Much's bottle, were employed for these two years with good results.
