小児急性篩骨洞炎の眼窩合併症の1例

ACUTE ETHMOIDITIS COMPLICATED WITH OCULAR FOSSA INFECTION

　I．はじめに

　副鼻腔疾患の視器合併諸症の病名としては症状の多寡により単に視力障害，眼球突出，眼症状，眼窩合併症あるいは眼窩漏斗部症候群（以下合併症と略す）などが用いられ，宿題報告や多くの症例報告がみられる。

　その中で小児急性篩骨洞炎の眼窩合併症^1）は他の副鼻洞炎のそれに比べ，最近の報告が少ない。原病の鼻症状が明らかでなく，高熱をもつて始まる初期には小児科を，ついで眼症状が現われると眼科を受診し，最後に耳鼻科を訪れるのは旬日後になるのが普通である。

　A boy, aged 11, suffered an attack of high fever soon followed by the development of exophthalmos. The patient was referred from the ophthalmologic service to that of ENT.

　Diagnosis of acute ethmoiditis was made by x-ray examination. Following surgical treatment of the ethmoidal sinus the patient made an uneventful recovery.
