  • Look Inside

Two cases of swallowing a bunch of sewing needles, both, with the intent of committing a suicide, are reported. One case was an established schizophrenic while the other was a suspect. The most of the needles swallowed, in both cases, were found to be inserted in the epiglotic and laryngopharyngeal region, in both cases alike, which were readily removable but a number of them also reached the stomach. The latter, however, were enabled to be expelled by the natural route which was watched carefully with x-ray examinations.
