嗅覚神経芽腫の1症例

AN OLFACTORY NEUROBLASTOMA, A CASE REPORT

　I．はじめに

　鼻腔内に原発する神経原性腫瘍は非常に稀である。そのうち，嗅粘膜領域に原発する嗅覚神経芽腫（olfactory neuroblastoma，esthesioneuroblastoma）は1924年Bergerら^1）によつて報告されたのが最初である。本邦ではそれよりかなり遅れて1964年，三輪ら^9）が11歳女児の症例を報告しているのが最初で，以来，文献上渉猟した限りでは今日まで（1974年3月）9例（第1表）をみるにすぎず，非常に稀なものといえる。著者らは最近，本腫瘍の1例を経験したので若干の文献的考察とともに報告する。

　Olfactory neuroblastoma is a rare but malignant neurogenic tumor that originates in the olfactory region. So far, only 9 cases of similar diseases have been reported in the literature of this country.

　A female infant, aged 4, suddenly began to com-plain of ophthalmoplegia and exophthalmos of the left eye. With examination the nasopharyngeal tumor was suspected. The histopathological ex-amination of the tumor showed nests of neuroblastic cells and neurofibrils forming a true rosette.

　The patient was treated with chemotherapy and radiotherapy with a complete remission of the original complaint.
