先天性両側性小耳症の耳介形成—テフロンメッシュ，フレキシブル耳介プロテーゼ使用経験

AN EXPERIENCE IN THE EMPLOYMENT OF TEFLONMESH FOR FLEXIBILITY IN PROTHESIS OF CONGENITAL BILATERAL MICROTIA

　I．はじめに

　先天性および後天性の耳介奇形や変形に対して形成を行なう事は形成外科領域でもつとも困難な手術の1つである。このために一方では種々の改良や独自の試みがなされている。

　文献学的には，すでに16世紀の後半に外耳変形の1つである耳介上半部欠損症例にTagliacozziが頭部皮膚弁を用いて形成を行なつたという記載もある。

　For prosthesis of bilateral microtia in a patient, instead of the usual costal cartilage, the authors attempted employment of silicon-reenforced teflonmesh for the basis of constructing the main portion of the missing ear lobe, with success.

　By using a flexible material for the frame work, the ear lobe gave a feeling to touch more nearly approaching the normal resiliency and strength instead of the inflexibly solid sensation which is usually present by the use of costal cartilage.
