最近経験した中耳癌の4症例について

THE MIDDLE EAR CAVITY CANCER: A REPORT OF FOUR CASES

　Ⅰ．緒言

　耳鼻咽喉科領域における悪性腫瘍のうち，聴器に発生する癌腫は少ないとされており，さらに中耳腔を中心とするいわゆる中耳癌は稀有なる疾患であり，報告も少ない様である。

　当，日本医科大学付属病院耳鼻咽喉科において，最近4症例を経験したのでここに報告し，さらに最近12年間の本邦文献に報告された29症例と，自験例とを比較検討しいささか考察を加えた。

　Four cases of the cancer of the middle ear cavity, which is considered to be rather a rare occurrence, are reported.

　One case among these is still alive, while 3 other cases succumbed to death. Post mortem examination in 1 case among the latter particularly is reported in detail.

　The literature on the middle ear malignancy for the recent 12 years is reviewed. The etiology of the middle ear carcinoma is discussed and the difficulty with which an early recognition of this disease is met with are discussed in detail.
