中耳に原発したNeurofibromaの1例

A MID-EAR NEUROFIBROMA

　I．はじめに

　耳の腫瘍は少なく，そのほとんどは悪性腫瘍であり，中耳では癌腫がもつとも多い。中耳の良性腫瘍はきわめて稀なものとされている。

　最近，われわれは中耳に原発したNeurofibromaの1例を経験したので報告する。

　A man, aged 20, complained of facial palsy on the right side and loss of hearing for the period of past 2 years. The paralysis involved the entire set of facial muscles, frontalis, orbicularis oculi and orbicularis oris on the right side. The anteriorw all of the external canal of the involved side appeared to be raised. Coversational hearing of the right ear was 40 dB but, the bone conduction appeared to be normal. The ear apparently was affected with conduction deafness.

　The operation revealed the tumor involving the middle ear cavity as well as the mastoid cavity and cells. The middle ear ossicles were absent. The facial nerve canal was intact. Microscopic examination showed the growth to be a neurofibroma. The operative wound showed a complete healing within the period of 6 months but no improvement was seen in the facial palsy.
