By means of infrared television devices pupillary measurement was made by noting the pupillary reaction following olfactory stimulation. Twenty two persons with normal sense of smell were subjected to sniff at the odor of concentrated solution of amyl acetate. Three types of pupillary reactions were noted; enlargement of the pupil, hippus and no reaction. These results were similar to those obtained by sound stimulations.

In 5 cases of traumatic loss of olfaction the test showed no pupillary response.
