巨大な鼻茸症例

A CASE OF HUGE NASAL POLYP

　Ⅰ．緒言

　本症は16歳の女子で幼時に鼻出血があり，右鼻腔に小さな腫瘤のあることが指摘されていたが，そのまま放置し，異常な発育を示した巨大な鼻茸（全量104g）症例である。また鼻前庭より外方に突出した部分よりの生検所見で鼻咽腔線維腫を疑われたため，一応右外頸動脈を結紮し，気管切開孔よりの全麻下で外科的に摘出した。病理組織学的には粘液性，線維性の両所見を有する鼻茸と診断された。

　そこで本症例の臨床経過を報告するとともにいささか文献的考察を加えた。

　A sixteen-year-old female had a huge nasal polyp weighted 104 g. in her right nasal cavity. She had been told she had a small tumor at the age of nine, but left it without any treatment. The polyp was removed by Denker's method under general anaesthesia. The pathogenesis and histology of nasal polyp were discussed.
