扁桃周囲膿瘍とPunktion療法の提唱

PUNCTURE AS A TREATMENT OF PERITONSILLAR ABSCESS

　Ⅰ．緒言

　扁桃周囲膿瘍は従来扁桃被膜外にあるのが定説であるが，笹木教授が被膜内説すなわち急性扁桃膿瘍説を唱えた。

　治療法として尾曽越俊三氏が始めて膿瘍扁摘を報告して以来扁摘が容易になつた。

　Incision is the usual way for drainage of the peritonsillar abscess. But the author insists puncture is preferable to incision in the following points: it can be carried out without much bleeding, leaves less adhesion, and needs less time for recovery.
